APRIL
Cherry blossoms and the Frankonian Table Mountain
Sunday 15, 11:00 a.m. - 17:00 p.m.
The so called "Ehrenürg" is an important Table Mountain in the foreland of the Naturepark Fränkische Schweiz. For his prominent position it was used as a ritual place, frorm the celtic tme until now! Today the hillsides are a nature reserve with lots of endangered flowers. In April cherry blossoms cover the landscape around.
About 7 km, hiking-shoes needed. Eating & drinking in the "Gasthof Zum Walberla" on everybodies own charge.
MAY
Gößweinstein - the heart o the Naturepark
Saturday 19, 1000 a.m. - 16:00 p.m.
We explore the great nature around Gößweinstein, placed in the heart of te Naturepark Fränkische Schweiz - a medieval shmall city with a great Basilika and a castle. Through a dark forest of yew trees, an impressing nature reserve, we hike down to the Wiesent-Valley and have a meal in an old water mill.
About 8 km with ups and downs, hiking-shoes needed. Eating & drinking in "Gasthof Stempfermühle" on everybodies own charge.
JUNE
Ruins, caves and the spirit o it
Saturday 23, 10:00 a.m. - 17:00 p.m.
We have a hike to the ruins of the two in former times most important castles of this area: the Ruin Streitberg and the Ruin Neideck. Between them the pathes a covered with lots of caves and great views over the valleys and the mountains. We visit the dripstone-cave Binghöhle, take a stop in a historic Schnaps-distillery and finish the day with a good frankonian meal.

JULY
About wells, dry valleys and caves
Saturday 21, 10:00 a.m. - 16:00 p.m.
A varied hike for the whole family, where kids can discover caves, miracles of the forest and listen to some old legends about our ghosts and fairies. The path starts at the Pegnitz river and follows a romantic dry valley up to the bizarre rocks ot the "Steinerne Stadt" where we find the most difficult climging level of the world!
About 9 km, hiking-shoes needed. Eating & drinking in "Gasthof Grottenhof" on everybodies own charge.
AUGUST
Romantic trip to Rabenstein Castle
Saturday 11, 10:00 a.m. - 16:00 p.m.
Welcome to the most romantic vallye of our Naturepark! We explore one of the oldest trails along the valley with several smaller caves hidden in the mountains. We visit the the famous dripstone cave "Sophienhöhle" and finish the day with a typical frankonian meal.
About 6 km with lots of ups and downs, hiking-shoes needed. Eating & drinking in the "Gutsschenke" of Rabenstein Castle on everybodies own charge.
SEPTEMBER
The Houbirg
Saturday 15, 10:00 a.m.- 16:00 p.m.
The mountain "Houbirg" near Hersbruck is ull of history: it was one of the biggest celtic colonies, we can still see the 2,000 years old circular rampart. During the second world war Hitler let dig a net of tunnels inside the mountain to produce weapons. At least the tour includes great views over the Happurg Lake.
